POOL PARTY! 🎈 🎈 🎈 .

Today I organized for the kids a pool party, we had pizza following by a mini disco! We even had disco lights!👌

Did I have fun? Not really! It was quite caotic with noises of cries, screams but luckily mostly laughter. Sometime during the party I can’t belive that this was my idea! But when everyone has gone home and everything are cleaned up, Mirabelle’s is looking at me and hugging me saying “Thank you for a wonderful day!” I can only smile and remind myself not to ever throw another party again!😂🙏👌

Everybody are going to the beautiful water garden Taman Tirtagangga for the pond with the steps stones and huge golden fishes. It is really beautiful so there is no wonder that there were so many people waiting to walk on the steps while people on the steps were taking 1000 of poses for pictures. It must be a magical place if you are lucky to be here alone!🙏

But did you know, about only 10 meters behind this pond there are two big beautiful natural water swimming pools and a smaller one for the young kids! And completely empty...beacause 99% of the visitors were waiting in line for a photo shot.

So please don’t forget to bring your swimsuit when visiting the garden! ❤️👌

We rarely give Mirabelle sweets (more often chocolat and ice-cream) but today we passed by a candy store in Kuta. Both David and I said, we are buying nothing! But as soon as we entered we couldn’t resist so we decided to let her choose whatever she wanted! She couldn’t belive it!

.
We didn’t bought much but the little we had we shared all together and give each of the candies a review. What taste, the colors, soft or hard. Why is that a favorite and why is this not? The winner was a heartshape soft pink and white some kind of marshmallows!❤️👌

MELASTI BEACH, THE BEACH IN BALI!❤️🇮🇩

As I have mention once before, Bali doesn’t have many beautiful typical beaches that most of the people are looking for.
.
.
But there is one beach in particular in southern of Bali that has the white sand and transparent 50 shades of blue water that everybody love. Melasti beach!❤️👌
The best time to visit the beach for families is when its low tide (normally in the morning?) and the waves get bigger and wilder on the afternoon.
.
.
Melasti beach is not yet very developed and sadly the construction is everywhere now along the beach. By the time of writing this, there were some local and simple beach bars and there were also a few bigger beach clubs along the shore. We had more fun by a local bar than in the bigger beach club plus it was also so much cheaper...

We can’t wait to explore more this part of Bali and go some beach hunting!👌🙏😊

Normally I would feel depressed just the thought of a daily rutin but here in Ubud a rutin is welcomed 🙏😊❤️

Mirabelle goes to school 8.30 am -3 pm which gives David and I time to do whatever we want. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4pm Mirabelle has her ballet classes and while I am waiting I am sipping on a good smoothie and read, or I could swim on their huge and beautiful swimming pool, or even better why not have a foot massage. .
.
Sometimes we cook but more often we eat out. We “do” our laundry once a week, for about 1kg/0.5 CHF we can have our laundry washed and ironed.
If we want, we could have our bed and room cleaned every day...but that we feel we can do ourself. .
.
We are trying to enjoy as much as possible because this life will eventually end ! We will turn back to our real home and real life where I have to do the shopping, cooking, cleaning and the laundry myself! .

OUR BALI ROAD TRIP IS OVER!😔😔❤️🇮🇩

For 3.5 weeks we have been driving around Bali exploring places and being together full time again. .
.
We haven’t seen everything and haven’t been everywhere in Bali but here are of top 5 so far:
.
.
1. Amed:
Of all the places, Amed was our favorite! Even thought the beaches are not white sand beaches that everybody are looking for and the corals are not in the best shapes, we still recommend Amed! There were many affordable and wonderful places to stay right by the sea. If you have the energy, there are plenty of places to visit around Amed.
.
.
2. The waterfalls: During our 3.5 road trip, we have seen 21 waterfalls! Our favorite are Krisik and Banyu wana amertha waterfalls. Don’t worry, I will make a blog post of all the Balinese waterfalls we have visited!👌
.
.
3. Jatiluwih rice terraces:
Beautiful rice terraces, 50 shades of green! We can’t never get enough of that beautiful landscape!
.
.
4. The temples:
We find Balinese hindu temples less colorful than other temples but they are equally beautiful! Besakih, the mother temple is a must-visit in our opinion! .
.
5. The mountains: The roads are winding and narrow but driving throught small villages is really an adventure itself! We didn’t always had blue sky and sunshine but when we had, it was wonderful to be up there!
.
.

There are pictures, memes and jokes circulating on internet about how parents are happy when the school holiday is over. The kids are back to school! .
.
I laugh at these jokes because I can understand how your own kids can drive you crazy and you are just happy to send them back to school. Thats perhaps why I have enjoying my life in Ubud so much😂. .
.
But after 3 weeks traveling with her again we realise how much we misses her. How precious our time together is and being together is our priority and is our main reason we left our life in Switzerland. .
.
This doesn’t mean we will pull her out of school in Ubud because the way we live now we still think we have a lot of time for her. In Switzerland this wouldn’t have been possible.
.
.
So while it last, even though we still find Mirabelle a “spoiled brat”, we are embracing our time with her and reallly appreciating the fact that she still think we are two cool people and that she wants to hangout with us!👌😂
